The Mad River is Ohio’s premier brown trout fishery. A gorgeous spring creek meandering from Bellefontaine to its confluence with the mighty Great Miami River. The brown trout section from West Liberty to Springfield delivers fly anglers spring hatches starting in March thru June, summer terrestrials, and beautiful fall streamer fishing. The Mad River is a true gem to our region.
